Competitive Swimming
Established in 1979, the Northern Kentucky Clippers
swim team is a year-round competitive swim team sanctioned
by USA Swimming. Our Developmental, Age
Group and National swimming programs provide year-round
training and a training group for EVERYONE - from the novice
to the elite levels of swimming. Since our inception, the Clippers
have trained thousands of swimmers, making it the largest club in
Northern Kentucky.

Stroke at a Time
Professional Coaches
Our coaches are trained to teach your swimmer,
while also having fun! The Clippers regularly send our staff to
professional seminars to keep them abreast of the current
techniques.
All of our coaches, as
members of the American Swim Coaches
Association, have
access to the most comprehensive training and certification program
for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. They provide
assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality
time. The Clippers swim club has established itself as one of
the best teams in the Tri-State area. For the past seven years we
have either won the State Championship, or been the Runner
Up.
Flexible Training Schedule

The Family Place, allows us the
flexibility to offer each group a variety of days for training, so
that you and your child can swim while participating in other
activities.
Stroke Technique
Our coaches believe that
stroke technique must constantly be in the forefront of training if
the swimmers are to accomplish their goals.
Endurance
Training
As the swimmers age up
their endurance training will increase.
Challenging and
Fun Competitions
The Clippers host several meets throughout the
year which attract competitive swimmers throughout the region. Many
of our younger swimmers get the unique opportunity to swim at the
very popular Mary Lou Mini Meet which is designed to increase the
self-esteem of the young swimmers.
