The Clippers nearly doubled their teams score during their 3rd day
of competition. With over 900 swimmers in the meet and temperatures
reaching 90+ the facility at Purdue is struggling keeping fresh air
in the facility.(Not sure if any indoor facility could). The
sessions have been extremely long making it hard to keep the
webpage updated with the great stats from the day. We have had
plenty to mention but I am afraid at 10:30pm on the second to last
day of the meet I will forget one. We will try to update the site
later with some of the top individual performances.
Relays have been exciting on the last two nights with the
Clippers throwing up times the slower heats to win the girls 400
Free Relay( Molly Hinken, Ellen Williamson, Mary Bank and Krissie
Brandenburg) and the boys 800 Free Relay( Jeff Morris, Nick Kunkel,
Rob Walsh and Shane Coltharp) finishing an impressive 2nd place
from the 3rd fastest heat. All Clipper relays A thru C have been a
ton of fun and exciting to watch.
Go Clippers on the final day of Competion. Next on the agenda
for Clippers during the Championship season will be Zones for the
14&unders and Senior Nationals/Junior Nationals for the
national group.
